The improvement in the weather (which has been a long time in coming!!) and the lighter mornings, combined with early summer home improvements have meant the enquiries have been flying in, which keeps us out of trouble! We had a recent enquiry for a vertical blind from a customer in Paddington, Warrington. The existing blind was a dated, floral print vertical fabric, which had certainly seen better days!
The customer wanted a practical fabric, which would provide the utmost privacy as the property is a bungalow with the bathroom window being located very close to the front door. Therefore a blackout fabric was recommended to ensure from the outside no-one could see in! Furthermore, the customer wanted a bright colour, with a pattern that would make a beautiful feature out of the window. In the end, the customer settled on the Louvolite fabric “Rio Ivory”, which ticked all the boxes!

Another enquiry came to us from a customer in Heald Green in Stockport. They had just redecorated the lounge and had some dated curtains combined with net curtains (not a great look!!) in the front bay window. They were unsure what to do with regards to blinds, and therefor sought our advice. Due to the style of decoration in the lounge, and the shape of the bay window, white wooden venetian blinds were recommended. They provide a contemporary, clean cut look which was exactly what the customer was looking for. Further to this, they are versatile with regards to the level of privacy they provide; They can be fully closed, tilted at an angle to let light in but still provide privacy, or lifted right the way up to let the maximum amount of light in. The results are stunning!

We are currently undertaking on of the most exciting projects we have had at Expression Blinds – 153 vertical blinds in an office complex in Birchwood, Warrington!
We were approached initially by the customer in February 2013. They had aluminium Venetian blinds installed at all the windows throughout the office, which had taken quite a battering over the years. Many of the slats were bent out of shape, and looked unacceptable to visitors and guests of the business. They were looking at the roller blinds were had on offer, and the initial quotation was for 249 roller blinds. However, after further consultations, it was decided that vertical blinds would be the most practical as they offer the users the option to tilt the blinds, and it also meant that for many of the large windows, two verticals would suffice rather than three roller blinds, which would mean that the total number of blinds would reduce from 249 to 153.
The project is still on-going, we are onto batch 4 of 7, so hopefully, another few weeks and it will be complete! But the blinds look stunning and the customer is delighted!
