With so many options available for window coverings, it really can be a bit of a minefield trying to settle on what’s right for you, your taste and budget. So we’ve put together this short guide to give you an idea of what’s popular this year! Our Top 5 trends for Window Blinds!
Faux Wood Blinds

Still right at the top of the popularity charts are Faux Wood blinds. These offer a traditional look, with a huge range of colours and tape options. They are popular as they are extremely versatile, allowing full control over privacy and light. Furthermore, whilst looking like real wood, they are actually made from acrylic. This makes them waterproof, and ideal for locations such as bathrooms and kitchens. They are also more cost-effective than their real wood counterparts. Definitely one of our favourites!
Perfect Fit Blinds
The Perfect Fit system has been on the market since 2005, and continues to go from strength to strength. It is a roller, pleated or Venetian blind that is fitted within its own frame. The brackets slot in behind the windows rubber seal, meaning no drilling or damage to the surrounding frame. Plus they look stunning! The frames come in a variety of colours to match different window finishes, and the different blind styles cater for every budget and taste.
Day & Night Roller Blinds
These fantastic contemporary blinds offer the soft look of a fabric roller blind, combined with the versatility of a Venetian blind. They are a double layer blind, allowing the user to position the stripes in either the open position to allow you to see outside, or the closed position for maximum privacy. These come in a huge range of colours, and can also be motorised for ease of operation (or if you’re just feeling lazy!!)
Perfect Fit Shutters
New to the market but gaining momentum all the time, Perfect Fit Shutters are a contemporary alternative to plantation shutters. They fit the same as the standard perfect fit (the brackets push in the bind the rubber seals), so no damage to the windows. This also means that the shutters sit flush to the windows so it keeps the cill space free, and maximises the feeling of space around a window.
Roller Blinds
This list would not be complete without the timeless roller blinds. Still very popular in today’s market, they are available in hundreds of fabrics, colours and finishes. They work well in a variety of settings and are fantastic as blackout blinds too. They can be lifted up out of the way when not needed, or lowered for privacy or as a design feature depending on the user requirements!
