However, there is only one small problem when it comes to these blinds – the window frames must be UPVC, with a rubber or foam seal between the frame and the glass. This is to allow the brackets to slot in behind this seal, and the frame of the blind then clips on to the bracket. So what happens if you love the Perfect Fit or INTU system, but there is no seal? This is particularly applicable to wooden window frames, these rarely have a rubber seal. The answer is simple – the INTU Screw Fit blind!
The INTU Screw fit looks almost identical to the INTU bead fit blind, but the difference is highlighted in the name – the blind is screwed into place rather than fitted into the window beading – thus allowing the blind to be installed onto wooden window frames, and all windows where the seal is not present or not substantial enough to fit the standard Perfect Fit or INTU blinds.
The INTU Screw Fit is a development of the older model of blind called ‘Iso’ blinds. The principle is simple, they are fully tensioned and sit virtually flush to the glass panels. The headrails have end caps which cover the screws which hold it in place, and the tension cords are fixed in place by plastic gromets which are slotted into a small drill hole on the left and the right at the bottom of the frame, near to the corners of the glass.

Pleated Blinds

For all pleated blind ranges, we recommend the ASC and SPC fabrics, which have a solar protective coating on the rear side. This helps to reflect a great deal of the heat away from the window for summer months, retain the warmth through the winter months, and also significantly reduce the glare without making the room too dark.
Pleated fabrics are ideal as conservatory blinds, and we can also supply pleated blackout fabrics, which can cut up to 90% of the light coming through the window.
Venetian Blinds
We can offer the INTU Screw fit as both aluminium venetian and wood – effect venetian, in the 25mm slat.
They are available in a vast selection of colours and finishes, and have the advantage of allowing the user to tilt the slats to allow the desired amount of light into the room. They are ideal for security as they can be tilted to prevent outside viewers from being able to see in through the windows, without giving the impression that no one is at home, as drawn curtains would give. Also, they are very easy to clean, anything that is spilt onto the slats can be wiped off easily and quickly.
