There are different designs of bay window, with different names:

Prow: Two triangular windows each at a 120 angle is known as a prow.
Oriel Windows: This type of window protrudes from a building, but does not reach the ground. Instead it is supported by from beneath by a corbel or above by a bracket.
Square / Boxed: This type of bay window has a flat front and two right angled side windows.
Angled: This type of window has one flat front and two angled sides.

What is a canted bay window?

A canted bay window has a flat front, and angled sides.

What is a multifaceted bay window?

This is a type of bay window made from several panes of glass rather than the usual three.

What is a bow window and how does it differ from a bay window?

A bay window normally has three openings, at different angles, whereas a bow window normally has four or five openings. This makes dressing these types of windows considerably different in terms of options and design.
